Funeral Information

In the unfortunate event of a death of a family member, Ramgarhia Gurdwara Coventry is able to provide the following facilities –

Arrange Sehaj Paath at the residence of the deceased or at the Gurdwara Sahib
On the day of the funeral, if the body of the deceased is to be received at a residence, the Gurdwara Sahib can provide sevadaars to attend for the recital of Sukhmani Sahib Jee da Paath, along with a Gianni to perform an Ardaas.
Ramgarhia Gurdwara Coventry allows for the body of the deceased to be received at the Gurdwara Sahib for Vaheguru Simran, Ardaas and the receipt of a Siropa for the deceased prior to the departure of the body to the Crematorium. Refreshments are provided for any Sangat attending this service.
At the Crematorium, the Gianni leads the service of Vaheguru Simran, Keertan Sohila and the Ardaas prior to the cremation of the body.
After the cremation, the Sangat returns to the Gurdwara Sahib, where Bhog of Sehaj Paath is performed, followed by the recital of Keertan and an Antam Ardaas. The Gurdwara Sahib provides light refreshments or a basic langar for the Sangat.
